Tyrone Riley was elected to Toledo City Council in November 2011. He began his first four-year term on city council in January 2012.
Mr. Riley grew up in what is now District 1. He attended Scott High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kent State University and received his law degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
He entered private practice as an attorney representing clients in matters of criminal, traffic, personal injury, and family law after spending five years as a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives.
Mr. Riley is married with two grown children.
