Today, Toledo Mayor Michael Bell attended a press conference held by Vice President Joe Biden in Washington, D.C. During the press conference, the Vice President announced that The Toledo Lucas County Port Authority will receive a $15 million Department of Energy grant to “ramp-up” energy efficiency building retrofits.
Vice president Biden specifically cited Toledo’s program for career training and job placement in the energy efficiency sector.
Mayor Bell is very appreciative of the grant and thankful to the Obama Administration for their support of energy efficiency in our community.
