The City of Toledo would like to announce that they will be accepting nominations for the "2011 Quality In Construction Award". Awards will be given for capital improvement projects completed or substantially completed in 2011. There are 3 award categories: Projects under $500,000, projects from $500,000 to $2,000,000, and projects over $2,000,000. Nominated projects should have had an impact on the community in which the project was constructed. The deadline for submittals will be December 31, 2011 and the award presentation will be in March of 2012. The "Quality In Construction Award" winner will be determined by a committee within Engineering Services. A numerical score will be given based on; project management, public relations, quality and workmanship, safety, project completion and special conditions. Applications may be obtained by one of the following methods: picked up at Engineering Services, distributed at pre-construction meetings or downloaded from the City of Toledo’s website.
